Shipping Policy

1. Overview

Qichenshop (Jiangmen Qichen Lighting Co., Ltd.) manufactures solar street lights, LED flood lights and outdoor wall lights at Jiangmen, Guangdong, China, and supplies them to distributors, wholesalers, contractors and EPC contractors in more than 10 countries.

We operate as a B2B export manufacturer. Shipping terms are quoted per order: destination, quantity and Incoterm all change the cost and the arrangement, so nothing on this page becomes a commitment until we issue your quotation.

Factory address: 2nd Floor, Building 1, Modern Industrial Park, No.152 Linjiang Road, Jiangmen, Guangdong, China.

2. Incoterms

We quote EXW, FOB and CIF.

Which of the three applies to your shipment depends on how the order ships:

Shipment typeIncoterm
Samples and small parcelsEXW
Consolidated bulk orders (LCL / mixed models in one shipment)FOB
Full container loadsCIF

Destination, quantity and the commercial terms your project require may still move the arrangement; tell us your market and your target volume, and we will come back with the best option for your project.

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

3. Freight

Freight depends on destination, quantity and Incoterm. It is confirmed in your quotation; we do not publish a fixed freight rate.

Sample shipments

  • Freight on samples is Freight Collect, i.e. paid by the customer.
  • The sample freight cost is credited back with your first bulk order.
  • Sample fees do not include freight or taxes; those are quoted separately where applicable.
  • Sample shipments follow the EXW terms stated in Section 2.

Bulk shipments

  • Freight is borne by whichever party the applied Incoterm (EXW, FOB or CIF) assigns it.
  • We accept a customer-nominated freight forwarder for bulk orders. Give us the forwarder’s details and account when you confirm the order, and we will book the shipment through them.
  • Where you nominate your own forwarder under FOB or EXW, we deliver to the forwarder at the named place and hand over on those terms.

4. Lead Time

Production time, measured from the deposit:

Order typeLead timeSource on site
Standard models15 days after the depositHomepage FAQ, FAQ page, product pages
Customized models15–25 days after the deposit is received and the specification is confirmedHomepage FAQ, FAQ page, OEM & ODM Service page
Prototyping for validation2–4 weeks, covering the validation sample stageCustomized Lighting Solutions page
Samples (in-stock or customized)15 to 25 daysSample Policy

Additional statements already on site, kept here so the policy does not contradict them:

  • Lead times exclude shipping time, and are subject to order volume; larger projects receive a confirmed production schedule at order confirmation.
  • Large or fully customized orders are scheduled individually — no fixed number is published for them.
  • For rush orders we can provide samples or quick quotations to meet a deadline, and expedited delivery can be arranged on request once mass production is confirmed with multiple orders. The cost and the resulting date are quoted before we commit.
  • Prototyping and mass production are two different stages: prototyping (2–4 weeks) covers the validation sample stage, while mass production for standard and customized models takes 15–25 days after deposit and specification confirmation.

5. Shipping Methods

Mode of transport is recommended per order, based on volume, destination and lead time — sea, air or international express. Your sales contact confirms the recommended mode with your quotation.

Samples

Samples ship through the freight forwarder you nominate. Because samples travel on your own forwarder account, you keep control of the courier account, the routing and the customs clearance process in your market. If you do not have a forwarder yet, tell us in your request and we will discuss available options before dispatch.

Bulk orders

Bulk orders move according to the Incoterm and the volume agreed in the quotation:

Shipment typeTypical arrangement
Samples and small parcelsInternational express
Small bulk ordersAir freight or LCL sea freight
Full container loadsFCL sea freight

6. Customs & Duties

  • Import duties, taxes and customs clearance in the destination country are the customer’s responsibility. This is stated identically in the Warranty Policy, the Sample Policy and the FAQ.
  • Customs tariffs are governed by your country’s customs regulations; import duties depend on the value, size and specifications of the order.
  • Some export-related products may attract import duties, taxes or certification requirements in your country. We recommend carrying out a preliminary analysis of customs clearance and export documentation before placing the order, and confirming the import regulations of your destination country before you order.

Documentation we provide to support your clearance and market registration:

  • Packing lists and technical specifications — we offer comprehensive packing lists and technical specifications with every shipment.
  • CE and RoHS documentation; full test reports available on request.
  • Designed and tested to CE and RoHS requirements, with IP65 ingress protection verified before packing. Products are assessed against IEC 60598-1, IEC 62031, IEC 62471 and IEC 60529.

Product certifications are listed as CE and RoHS compliant; certificate numbers are available on request and are shared with your quotation.

7. Tracking & Delivery

  • Samples: tracking information is shared by email once the samples are dispatched.
  • Bulk orders: where the shipment moves on the forwarder you nominate, tracking runs through that forwarder’s system.
  • Before shipment: packing photos are provided together with comprehensive packing lists and technical specifications.
  • Quality records travel with the shipment: every unit passes aging testing and IP65 testing as part of the standard production process, and batch traceability records are kept so any field issue can be traced back to its production batch.

8. Damaged or Lost Shipments

Goods are shipped at the customer’s risk from the point of handover to the carrier. Qichenshop does not arrange cargo insurance unless it is requested; where insurance is requested we can quote it separately or coordinate with your nominated forwarder. We recommend that the customer arranges their own insurance for high-value shipments.

Under CIF terms, cargo insurance is arranged by Qichenshop as part of the Incoterm. Under EXW or FOB terms, insurance is the customer’s responsibility; we can quote it separately if requested.

For shipments under an EXW or FOB arrangement the handover point is the place named in the Incoterm. Where insurance is requested and arranged by us, cover attaches from the same point and the policy follows the shipment until delivery.

Separately, and without changing the above:

  • The Warranty Policy allocates transport costs for warranty replacements — Qichenshop bears shipping in Year 1, the customer bears it in Years 2 to 5.
  • Where a fault falls outside the warranty terms, any repair or replacement is quoted separately.
  • Duties, taxes and customs clearance in the destination country are always the customer’s responsibility.
